Beschreibung

• Manage the engineering portion of projects with the project manager to achieve project objectives • Ensure designs and practices implement safety, quality, and values • Prepare detailed technical specifications for large marine and naval power systems • Define system operation scenarios, plant load priorities, and system control parameters • Develop detailed engineering plans and oversee project engineering execution • Drive communications to maintain alignment on schedule and technical risk • Own engineering artifacts, including power and propulsion system models, power system studies, drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and test and commissioning procedures • Ensure projects are completed within schedule and budget • Interface with customers to understand requirements and expectations • Interface with Sourcing and Purchasing to ensure supplier products meet specifications • Interface with Manufacturing and Test departments to ensure power system components are fit for purpose • Maintain engineering quality across project deliverables • Support Sales by reviewing customer requirements and identifying gaps with GE Vernova capabilities • Manage power systems design reviews • Collaborate with GE Vernova PCS businesses on applying technologies for customers in North America

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience • 5+ years’ experience in power systems, power electronics, power conversion, and/or naval power systems • 5+ years working in a project environment • Familiarity with power system protection, control, monitoring, automation, and integration in a marine environment • Familiarity with marine Power Management Systems using switchboard and generator control systems for load sharing, synchronization, and power control • Familiarity with MATLAB/PLECS, ETAP, SKM, or other modeling tools • Willingness to travel up to 30% • Professional Engineer or equivalent proven record of continuous professional development • Understanding of regulatory and marine classification requirements, including ABS, CACG, and/or MIL Specs
