Beschreibung

• Provide technical leadership to a small group of engineers and contractors performing analyses, calculations, and technical evaluations • Manage project work schedules and priorities • Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineers and projects • Execute work plans within budget and schedule in a team environment • Support civil systems design and equipment construction activities • Respond to vendor questions and deviation requests • Review and approve vendor document submittals • Support certification processes for GE products, including BWRX-300, VTR, and Natrium, addressing US NRC and other nuclear regulator design certification requirements • Establish and maintain technical oversight of applicable regulations • Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, licensing, the NRC, and international regulatory authorities • Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents • Support GEH quality requirements, including participation in design reviews • Manage design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned systems using sound engineering principles and applicable business and product requirements • Document technical data generated by assigned projects according to engineering policies and procedures • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or University • Minimum 8 years of experience in a technology or engineering role • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers may be contingent on ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Shortlisted candidates are subject to heightened security checks • Nuclear industry knowledge or experience • Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, BWR core/fuel material behavior, and mechanical or structural design fundamentals • Strong communication and writing skills • Knowledge of project management • Knowledge of quality standards and systems, such as NQA-1 and ISO 9000 • Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and process skills • Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative environment • Master’s Degree or greater in an engineering discipline is desired • Relocation to Wilmington, NC is preferred
