Beschreibung

• Deliver independent assurance reviews, thematic deep dives, and control testing across the business, focusing on financial crime • Manage financial crime scope within the assurance plan and agree priorities with the MLRO • Manage additional assurance scope as directed by the Head of Assurance • Embed the combined assurance approach with Compliance, Risk, FinCrime, and Internal Audit • Set evidence standards for remediation and verify that fixes remain effective • Own and maintain the actions tracker and reduce the backlog • Produce assurance workpapers and reports • Represent the Head of Assurance at ERCO, BRC, and other governance committees when needed • Improve testing methodology, templates, and tooling • Deliver three to four end-to-end assurance reviews within six months • Report to the Head of Assurance, with a dotted line to the MLRO for financial crime priorities • Work with first-line teams and provide direct exposure to the CRO and Exco

🎯 Anforderungen

• Assurance, audit or QC experience including control testing • Financial crime experience as a reviewer, process owner, consultant, or in a prior assurance role • Solid knowledge of the UK regulatory framework, including POCA, SAR obligations, and FCA/PRA expectations • Track record of raising and defending uncomfortable findings when warranted • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment • Judgement to hold challenging conversations with first-line teams • Coordination skills to support a combined assurance model • Strong writing skills and commitment to clear, readable documentation • Relevant qualification such as ICA financial crime, CAMS, or IIA is ideal • Model validation, prudential risk, or tech assurance experience is ideal • Legal right to work in the UK
