Beschreibung

• Assist with administration of Utilization Management functions, including workflow organization, department communications, information interpretation, tracking follow-up, research, and report creation • Support UM operations and payer communications to obtain admission approvals through clinical review and appeal processes • Handle inbound payer faxes, upload approvals, bed days, and denials, and document communications in EMR/EPIC • Fax initial and continued-stay clinical documentation to payers and resolve fax failures • Monitor deferred accounts and follow up with payers for additional approved days • Collaborate with payers, UM nurses, Care Coordination teams, and other internal departments • Identify and initiate concurrent denial documentation and coordinate physician-advisor peer-to-peer reviews • Retrieve and process utilization-management clinical requests • Escalate patient calls, communicate barriers, and document issues in EPIC/EMR • Perform reports, research, meeting scribe duties, and new-hire onboarding as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• High School Diploma or GED Required • 1 year clerical support Required • Associates Preferred • 1 year administrative support in a healthcare field (e.g., case management, utilization review, medical insurance, medical office front desk, hospital business office, preservices, admitting, registration, billing, collections) Preferred • Knowledge of payer requirements, clinical documentation, utilization management workflows, EMR/EPIC, RightFax, and HIPAA breach reporting processes • Ability to meet defined productivity standards • Ability to work remotely during the Monday–Friday day shift
