Beschreibung

• Work across a range of Penpot product projects and features • Solve real user problems by improving the user experience • Develop new features and address product pain points and bugs • Deliver quick wins with direct impact on users’ day-to-day work • Move across different parts of the product and understand the context behind problems • Propose solutions for Penpot users worldwide • Work within a horizontal team using autonomy and shared decision-making • Participate in technical, cultural, and people-focused interview processes as a candidate

🎯 Anforderungen

• Senior-level engineering experience • Interest in or experience with reactive programming; Penpot uses RxJS • Frontend or backend-for-frontend development background • Solid command of JavaScript, browser APIs, HTML, and CSS • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, mainly React • Motivation to build robust, carefully crafted user interfaces • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with functional programming • Willingness to learn ClojureScript; day-to-day work uses ClojureScript • Regular use of LLM tools such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or OpenCode • Comfortable working in Linux environments • High level of spoken and written English • Functional level of spoken and written Spanish • Familiarity with Clojure or other functional languages is an advantage • Knowledge of JavaScript testing, including Jest and Cypress, and end-to-end testing with Playwright is an advantage • Interest in accessibility and responsible development • Interest in design systems and their integration with product development • Previous experience or genuine interest in open-source projects • Experience using agile methodologies in a professional environment • Experience collaborating in diverse, cross-functional teams • Ability to ask effective questions to support product development • Careful testing of own code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
