Beschreibung

• Read and interpret remittance advice and EOBs • Review and process denied insurance claims according to established SOPs • Research payer requirements and analyze systems and databases to identify claim issues • Determine next steps for claim resolution, including appeals or requests for additional information • Contact physicians, insurance companies, and patients to obtain required information • Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and account activity records • Respond to phone and email inquiries professionally and promptly • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve accounts receivable issues • Train and support employees on billing processes and computerized billing systems • Manage a high volume of complex accounts using organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail • Utilize departmental SOPs, logs, and lists to ensure accurate billing • Verify patient insurance coverage using Phoenix • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• High School diploma or equivalent • 3 or more years healthcare billing or accounts receivable experience • Familiar with LCBS billing screens • Working knowledge of LCBS billing screens • Ability to read explanation of benefits and remittance advice • Knowledge of MENU/RTPA adjustments • Experience with RFND and issuing a refund in the EPS tool • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision • Ability to work effectively with team members and other employees • Ability to adapt to a changing environment • Preferred: Associates degree • Preferred: 1 or more years specimen review • Preferred: 1 or more year experience in healthcare billing exceptions or explanation of benefits (EOB)
