Beschreibung

• Serve as the medical coding subject matter expert, driving quality, consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement across coding activities • Plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee clinical medical coding activities in alignment with company procedures, industry regulations, and applicable guidelines • Lead coding and dictionary-related initiatives supporting clinical development and regulatory activities • Manage medical coding dictionaries and synonym lists, including dictionary maintenance and version updates • Review coded clinical data for consistency, accuracy, quality, and compliance with coding guidelines • Prepare and provide coding reports for medical review and decision-making activities • Partner with cross-functional teams to support timely and accurate medical coding across clinical programs • Deliver training on medical coding processes, standards, and best practices • Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures and identify and address process gaps • Maintain and control organizational access to coding dictionary portals and related systems

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Biology, or a related field • 7 years of experience in a clinical coding role • Expert knowledge of clinical data coding methodologies and medical coding practices • Expert understanding of clinical research, clinical trial execution, and applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines, including ICH-GCP and safety reporting requirements • Expert knowledge of industry-standard coding dictionaries, including MedDRA and WHODrug • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Deep attention to detail and ability to interpret and consistently apply medical coding guidelines • Experience working within clinical research and regulated environments • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently • Experience working with medical coding dictionaries, coding processes, and clinical data standards
