Beschreibung

• Define and maintain the vision, value proposition, and roadmap for the assigned product area • Set outcome-driven goals and plan leading and lagging indicators • Make trade-offs among user needs, go-to-market needs, and platform concerns • Contribute to platform-level strategy and broader roadmap discussions • Build direct understanding of users through engagement and continuous discovery • Conduct customer interviews, usability testing, behavioral analysis, and rapid prototyping • Develop empathy for learners, educators, and administrators • Serve as the competitive-space expert for the assigned assessment experience • Lead build/buy/partner analysis for Pearson Higher Education • Collaborate with engineering and design on problem framing and solution design • Contribute to team building as a player coach, sharing knowledge and mentoring peers • Write product artifacts including PRDs, specifications, capability definitions, and user stories • Manage scope and sequencing across strategic, near-term, and operational needs • Engage with engineering on architecture, API design, and technical trade-offs • Identify and evaluate AI capabilities including generative AI, prompt engineering, ML-assisted workflows, and intelligent content tools • Become the expert on classroom AI use and its implications for Pearson Higher Education assessments • Build relationships with engineering, design, data, content, and go-to-market partners • Communicate strategy, progress, trade-offs, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders • Tell a clear product story covering the problem, users, rationale, and desired outcomes

🎯 Anforderungen

• 6+ years of product management experience • Track record of owning a product or area end-to-end, from discovery through measurable outcomes • Strong discovery skills and ability to translate insight into product decisions • Experience with B2B2C products serving multiple user types • Ideally, experience with both user-facing applications and developer-facing services • Technical acumen in architecture and API discussions • Ability to make informed technical trade-offs • Data fluency, including defining metrics, planning measurement, working with instrumentation, and using quantitative and qualitative insights • Hands-on experience with current AI tools in product work • Clear judgment on when AI is and is not appropriate • Strong written and verbal communication • Experience producing opportunity assessments, user stories, and strategic framing • Stakeholder management in complex organizations • Ability to influence without authority and build trust across functions • Bonus: educational technology background • Bonus: AI/ML product development experience in classification, recommendation, NLP, or computer vision • Bonus: experience modernizing software while maintaining the existing user base
