Beschreibung

• Mentor and train less experienced staff and provide guidance on complex issues • Conduct Corporate Compliance audits, investigations, and training throughout affiliates • Guide system administration and management on compliance with laws, regulations, and contract obligations • Act as subject matter expert for building and optimizing the EMR, including clinical documentation, workflows, and revenue-cycle impacts • Manage projects independently and prepare governmental disclosures • Facilitate external audits and investigations by regulatory agencies and payer fraud units • Coordinate audits covering clinical documentation, EMR workflows, registration, coding, charging, billing, payments, denials, financial statements, grants, exclusions, and payment agreements • Interview staff to identify root causes of compliance issues • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to communicate findings and provide compliance education • Develop audit reports and present findings to the Compliance Director, administration, and management • Develop and help implement corrective action plans and conduct follow-up audits • Analyze government and professional association studies to assess risk and opportunity • Identify compliance benchmarks and perform risk assessments • Monitor regulatory changes affecting departments • Support new business growth and margin improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance • Design and implement revenue-cycle compliance training for physicians, providers, coders, and employees • Conduct internal investigations into fraud, waste, abuse, and other non-compliance • Complete investigation reports and assist HR with employee discipline processes • Perform cause analysis and monitor corrective actions • Represent the system professionally during external investigations by OIG, DOJ, OMIG, FBI, Medicare, and third-party payer fraud units

🎯 Anforderungen

• AAS or BS in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, Finance, or Accounting, and experience with healthcare compliance • Minimum five years of healthcare experience, including a minimum of 3 years of health care compliance experience • A combination of healthcare work experience, credentials and/or education will be considered • RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P; Compliance Board Certification a plus • Relevant health care related certification with experience may be considered in lieu of above certifications • Experience with healthcare compliance • Strong analytical skills • Project management experience • Training skills • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities • Ability to work confidentially and professionally with sensitive information • Ability to interpret healthcare rules and regulations • Sedentary work capabilities, including prolonged sitting and computer-based work • Must meet any applicable program-specific experience, educational, or continuing education requirements
