Beschreibung

• Develop, implement, and continuously refine global commodity strategies for titanium and nickel mill products • Lead strategic supplier relationships, including contract development, negotiation, long-term agreements, and performance management • Monitor global markets, mill capacity, geopolitical risk, and industry trends influencing raw material pricing and availability • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through value engineering, competitive bidding, should-cost analysis, and supply chain optimization • Collaborate with engineering and materials teams on design decisions, specification optimization, and new product introductions • Support capacity planning, demand forecasting, and long-range procurement strategies • Lead risk mitigation activities, including dual sourcing, inventory strategies, and supplier development • Manage internal stakeholders through communication, reporting, and alignment on commodity plans, cost initiatives, and key decisions • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, export controls, and ethical sourcing standards • Support budgeting, cost modeling, financial analysis, and presentation of category strategies to leadership • Report directly to the Associate Director of Commodity Management for Hard Alloys metals commodities • Travel up to 25%

🎯 Anforderungen

• University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree • U.S. citizenship is required • Advanced understanding of the RTX aerospace business, particularly critical metallics for Engine applications • Subject matter expertise in titanium and nickel mill commodities • Strong knowledge of the supply base and current and future commodity trends • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business with emphasis on Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred • Experience with Aerospace Titanium and Nickel grade metallics, preferably Engine and rotor hardware requirements • Knowledge of titanium and nickel mill products, global mills, forging/conversion processes, and downstream manufacturing • Strong negotiation skills • Contract expertise • Supplier relationship management experience • Ability to interpret complex technical and commercial data, including market indices and cost drivers • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage strategic initiatives • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills • Ability to comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, export controls, and ethical sourcing standards • Travel required up to 25%
