Beschreibung

• Lead investments into startups under the guidance of the Managing Partner • Drive portfolio companies’ products into SAIC offerings and sell-through to SAIC customers • Leverage data, relationships, technology, and tools to inform capability- and market-specific investment strategies aligned with Ventures’, enterprise, technology, and go-to-market strategies • Cultivate investment opportunities with co-investors and strategy-aligned startups • Support commercial diligence of startup investments before investment • Lead technical and business diligence with finance and legal support to finalize investment business cases, deal terms, and valuation • Develop overarching investment strategies and deal-specific investment theses with the Managing Partner and Managing Director • Drive stakeholder conviction and prepare materials for positive investment committee decisions • Serve as the regional focal point for startup ecosystem engagement among VC, CVC, and startup relationships • Attend and facilitate meetings and events to develop SAIC’s ecosystem presence • Collaborate with the Solutions & Technologies Group, business functions, and business units on investment theses, deal strategies, and execution • Advise portfolio companies on access to SAIC subject matter experts and the venture ecosystem • Build quarterly and ad hoc reports on portfolio companies and the overall portfolio

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience including roles at a startup or larger company with technology or product or GTM or strategic role • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens • Must have a passion for technology-based startups and have cultivated and closed deals as an investor in either a VC or CVC • Strong qualitative & quantitative analytical capability • Exceptional communication, active listening, critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation capabilities • Experience working with or for a government agency or in the military is a bonus • Strong network in dual-use commercial technology, national security focused technology startups, and the broader innovation and investment economy is a bonus • MBA, JD, or Masters degree in a relevant field is a bonus
