Beschreibung

• Manage different consulting engagements related to power system studies for transmission interconnection projects, including external coordination with clients and internal coordination • Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers performing power system modeling and analysis • Participate in business development including identification of new work, preparation of proposals, provide input project scope, approach, schedule, and budget • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technology and applications of new technologies

🎯 Anforderungen

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree • A minimum of 12 years relevant engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience in leading a team of power systems engineers • Experience in load flow and contingency analysis to identify transmission thermal and voltage constraints and to identify transfer capability limits • Experience in electromagnetic transient analysis using PSCAD • Experience using transmission planning software for load flow modeling, contingency analysis, and stability analysis using PSS/E, PSLF, TARA • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred • Experience in stability analysis to identify critical clearing times, identify voltage constraints and analyze power system damping • Experience in short circuit analysis and using software programs CAPE or ASPEN • Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs, such as: PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ISO-NE • Experience in Python, Java Script, or other scripting languages
