Beschreibung

• Set the long-term architecture strategy for the event-driven platform • Eliminate risks and simplify the codebase to prevent systemic technical debt • Drive strategically critical initiatives across multiple verticals • Establish patterns and trade-off frameworks for building, operating, and scaling systems • Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex distributed-systems problems • Provide technical guidance to resolve high-stakes issues and unblock teams • Mentor and elevate senior engineers and technical leaders • Partner with product and business leaders to define technical strategy and build consensus • Set standards for testing, observability, incident response, and platform resilience • Represent the organization through technical writing, conference talks, and open-source contributions • Work with Product Engineering, Security, Infrastructure IT, and other platform teams to build, enhance, and support the platform

🎯 Anforderungen

• 15+ years of overall software engineering experience, including 10+ years operating at Senior Staff or above, owning technical design for large, cross-team projects • Experience leading multi-team or multi-vertical programs over multi-quarter timelines with minimal oversight • Ability to identify business-critical problems and build the case for new investment independently • Track record of setting technical patterns or standards adopted by other teams • Experience mentoring Staff/Senior Staff engineers toward technical leadership • Strong track record leading through incidents or operational risk, focused on systemic hardening • Excellent communication skills and consensus-building across engineering and business/executive stakeholders • Preferred: experience in payments, identity, or loyalty platforms, ideally in a regulated gaming or fintech environment • Preferred: experience with organizational convergence, platform consolidation, or large-scale architectural migration • Preferred: familiarity with SOX, PCI, or similar control frameworks
