Beschreibung

• Own the creative vision end to end for every assigned video • Develop formats, mechanisms, and structure with the Snowball team • Build and present creative outlines covering intros, title cards, format beats, insights, and outros • Build shot lists and set the visual vision for filming locations • Attend casting calls and align talent on creative needs and expectations • Identify props, set decoration, and on-set assets such as clips, images, and music • Partner with the DP to establish the look and technical expectations for each shoot • Ensure videos follow Snowball’s YouTube best practices for titles, thumbnails, hooks, value, retention, and insights • Devise and execute creative elevations and confirm all required elements are captured • Direct all creative on set • Build paper-cuts and edit outlines • Guide editors through every cut and own creative notes • Incorporate Snowball and brand-partner notes in Frame.io within one day of receiving a cut • Maintain consistency across episodes, formats, and recurring series

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years directing video content with a strong storytelling portfolio (required) • YouTube experience strongly preferred • Proven track record developing high-performing formats and creative concepts • Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, structure, retention tactics, and platform best practices • Experience directing educational, narrative, branded, or documentary-style long-form content • Experience running a set and directing talent, crew, and DPs • Fluency in post-production, including paper-cuts, precise edit notes, and editor guidance • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with competing client priorities and tight timelines • Clear, direct communication with producers, editors, strategists, and brand stakeholders • Strong attention to detail and organization across pre-production documents, shot lists, and asset needs • Passion for YouTube and curiosity about content performance
