Beschreibung

• Research, develop, and sustain mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytical capabilities • Create and refine software applications • Maintain and enhance existing custom applications • Troubleshoot defects and improve performance • Contribute to code reviews and technical documentation • Deliver reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders • Support mission partners by transforming complex data into actionable insight • Lead technical discussions, mentor technical staff, and drive technical design and engineering efforts • Support research and development projects and develop production-capable systems • Extract and translate government stakeholder requirements into achievable goals, objectives, and tasking

🎯 Anforderungen

• Must be a US citizen • Current Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field; 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree • 6+ years of demonstrated professional experience with programming, design, and/or development • Professional experience with one or more strongly typed programming languages such as Java, Rust, or similar • Professional experience with one or more scripting programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar • Willingness to lead technical discussions, mentor technical staff, and drive technical design and engineering efforts • Working knowledge of agile software development practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git • Willingness to work in a remote setting or nearby Vantor facility and communicate via video calls • Experience with backend development using Java and Rust • Experience with low-latency, streaming, or event-driven data processing technologies such as Apache Flink and/or Apache Kafka • Experience applying traditional AI/ML approaches and methodologies to streaming data • Full-stack development experience with React, Next, Leaflet, MapLibre, and Redux • REST API framework development and maintenance experience • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack • Experience with containerized deployments such as Kubernetes and Docker • Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, Harness, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions • Experience with SQL database development, schema design, query optimization, or data modeling using technologies such as PostgreSQL or Apache Iceberg • Experience supporting research and development projects and developing production-capable systems from greenfield • Experience leading technical efforts for cross-disciplinary teams • Experience extracting and translating requirements from government stakeholders • Strong verbal, written, documentation, and organizational skills • U.S. export-control requirements may apply, requiring U.S. person status
