Beschreibung

• Lead General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting operations • Lead annual financial statement audits and quarterly reviews, managing external auditor relationships • Own monthly financial reporting and quarterly and annual financial statements, including Workiva reporting • Lead technical accounting research and implementation for complex and emerging transactions under US GAAP • Oversee stock-based compensation, equity administration, and accounting • Review financial statements, General Ledger accounts, journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team • Develop accounting policies, internal controls, documentation, and reporting processes • Design scalable process improvements and champion responsible AI and automation adoption • Partner with FP&A, Legal, People Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and business leaders • Drive complex cross-functional accounting initiatives to resolution • Set a high execution standard, influence priorities, develop talent, and take ownership across Accounting • Within 90 days, learn Virta’s accounting operations and systems, build cross-functional relationships, own assigned GL processes, assess close and reconciliation procedures, implement quick wins, and establish credibility with the team

🎯 Anforderungen

• CPA required • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong technical accounting foundation across General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, and US GAAP • Experience navigating complex accounting matters • Experience leading complex monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting processes in a high-growth, public company, or public-company-ready environment • Experience developing high-performing accounting teams • Strong business judgment and ability to independently drive complex accounting and operational matters to resolution • Experience improving accounting operations through technology, automation, process redesign, and scalable internal controls • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills • Ability to operate with ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Experience with NetSuite, Workiva, or similar ERP and financial reporting platforms preferred • Experience applying AI-enabled tools and automation to accounting workflows preferred • Experience in high-growth healthcare, technology, or similarly complex businesses preferred • Ability to follow HIPAA-related security and privacy procedures • Legal authorization to work in the United States requested in the application
