Beschreibung

• Define, own, and execute the long-term engineering strategy for WEX Mobility Mobile Experience, including card and vehicle management, mobility payments, and future platform capabilities • Partner with architects and technical leaders to define the technical vision and architecture for the Mobile platform • Develop and maintain the engineering roadmap aligned with business priorities and industry best practices • Foster innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence • Improve engineering processes to increase delivery velocity, quality, and developer productivity • Lead complex cross-functional engineering initiatives from planning through execution • Partner with Product, UX, and business leaders to prioritize investments and deliver customer-centric mobile experiences • Establish and monitor engineering metrics for predictability, quality, reliability, and team effectiveness • Drive planning, execution, and continuous improvement through sprint planning, roadmap reviews, and operational reviews • Define measurable objectives and key results with Product and business leaders • Promote reusable platforms, shared components, and engineering best practices across Mobility engineering teams • Hire, develop, mentor, and retain engineering managers and software engineers • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development • Manage team capacity and staffing • Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and cross-functional partners

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of software engineering experience • 4+ years of engineering management experience leading software engineering teams • Experience leading native iOS and Android applications or cross-platform mobile applications using React Native or Flutter • Strong understanding of modern mobile architectures, application lifecycle management, and software engineering best practices • Strong communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills • Understanding of security, privacy, authentication, authorization, and data protection principles for mobile applications • Experience with automation, AI-assisted development tools, and engineering productivity practices • People leadership experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and lead organizational and technical change • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience using analytics and customer insights to inform product and engineering decisions • Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Preferred: Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or other modern mobile development technologies • Preferred: Shared mobile platforms, SDKs, reusable frameworks, or design systems • Preferred: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release automation, feature flag platforms, and mobile observability • Preferred: Payment, fleet, FinTech, or commercial card solutions • Preferred: Payment networks or card schemes • Preferred: Closed-loop or proprietary payment systems
