Description

• Guide a diverse engineering team in the mechanical analysis of BWRX-300 Reactor & Internals • Lead execution excellence by identifying risks and solving complex technical challenges in real time • Balance rigorous ASME Code compliance with the need for speed and innovative problem-solving • Proactively identify scope changes and pivot team resources to address schedule risks • Identify, prioritize, and resolve emergent technical risks • Utilize solid engineering judgment to provide rapid solutions • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams • Coordinate proactively with cross-disciplinary engineering teams • Interface with external partners, customers, NRC or other applicable country specific regulatory agency • Lead daily operations and follow-up to ensure delivery on time and on budget • Provide high-level technical oversight of structural and dynamic analysis • Mentor the team to streamline workflows and implement optimized analysis methodologies • Champion nuclear safety culture

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural and/or dynamic analysis • Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting finite element analysis (FEA), including evaluation of mechanical and thermal loadings under both static and transient conditions, preferably using ANSYS Workbench or APDL • Minimum of 2 years of experience with ASME Code Sec III and/or Sec VIII Div 2. • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering (desired) • Experience preparing submittals to the NRC or CNSC (desired) • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Able to communicate openly, calmly, and crisply in stressful situations • Continuous improvement mindset • Strong interpersonal and proven leadership skills • Solid technical writing skills to provide high quality analysis report for regulatory registration • Demonstrated ability to quickly master new organizational interfaces, technical domains, and project requirements • A track record of taking full ownership of project commitments
