Description

• Evolve a data platform supporting products serving close to 100M unique visitors per month • Design, build, and own robust data pipelines from Postgres, MongoDB, event streams, and third-party APIs into the warehouse • Make pragmatic architecture decisions across ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers • Drive the dbt project, including structure, conventions, testing, documentation, and CI • Own and evolve the semantic layer so metrics are centrally governed and consistently consumed • Champion data cataloging, documentation, and end-to-end lineage • Own data quality through testing, monitoring, alerting, lineage, and SLAs • Optimize warehouse and columnar query performance • Collaborate with BI, Product, Development, Marketing, and Finance to create reusable data models • Mentor the wider BI/Data team through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance • Provide feedback on technology, development lifecycle, and processes • Take ownership of code, tasks, and role responsibilities • Investigate new technologies and continuously improve the data platform

🎯 Exigences

• Senior-level experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar, at scale • Expert-level PostgreSQL, including complex transformations, window functions, and performance tuning • Production experience with a columnar/analytical database; ClickHouse strongly preferred, with BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar relevant • Solid experience using AI and understanding AI harnessing best practices, including claude.md, hooks, skills, rules, MCPs, and plugins • Strong production experience with dbt, including project structure, testing strategy, macros, and CI/CD • Experience with a semantic/metrics layer such as Cube.dev, dbt MetricFlow, LookML, or similar • Experience with data cataloging, documentation, and lineage tooling such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, or similar • Solid Python for data engineering, including pipelines, scripting, APIs, and data manipulation • Production experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB as source systems, including replication, CDC, and schema evolution • Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses and dimensional/analytical models • Comfort with Git, code review, and modern software engineering practices applied to data • Strong sense of ownership • Team-oriented approach to problem solving • Experience mentoring junior engineers • Experience investigating new technologies • Advocacy for clean code and clean architecture applied to data • Passion for data tests, unit tests, and end-to-end checks • Results-based, “Can Do” work ethic • Nice to have: Docker • Nice to have: AWS • Nice to have: experience with high-traffic/high-volume data environments • Nice to have: understanding of Agile principles • Nice to have: experience working remotely
