Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy and plan supporting principal and major gift fundraising in Florida • Develop compelling donor communications supporting Florida conservation goals and TNC’s global conservation vision • Develop content for campaigns, solicitation materials, impact/grant reports, stewardship, and other donor communications • Translate complex science and conservation topics into inspiring cases for donor support • Write, edit, design, and oversee production of proposals, reports, campaign collateral, letters, speeches/scripts, impact reports, presentations, event collateral, and conservation updates • Work with finance, conservation, philanthropy operations, executive, and philanthropy staff to align requests with conservation priorities and financial requirements • Help manage corporate and foundation grant submission and reporting requirements • Work with outside writing, design, printing, and mail-house vendors • Coordinate with Marketing • Manage administrative and/or professional staff • Set team goals and metrics to evaluate success • Provide recommendations and targeted donor communications training • Handle information according to TNC privacy and security SOP • Develop budgets, work within budgets, and negotiate and contract with vendors • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and accountability • Travel occasionally and work long and flexible hours as needed

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination • Experience managing and implementing multiple projects • Experience negotiating agreements • Experience supervising staff, interns, and/or volunteers • Experience with current and evolving technology in relevant field • Experience working with cross-functional teams • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field • Knowledge of Florida’s conservation landscape and current issues • Experience with design software such as Adobe and Canva; some knowledge of graphic design • Ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences • Knowledge of current and evolving trends in communications, preferably in a non-profit environment • Proficient in interpreting guidelines and manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills • Successful experience implementing strategic program goals • Valid driver's license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program • Successful completion of TNC’s background screening process
