Description

• Post all payments and adjustments at the patient account level accurately and promptly, balancing to the bank deposit daily • Contact patients, insurance companies, or third-party administrators to clarify information needed to post payments • Resolve payment and offset questions through calls, chats, emails, and insurance websites • Work recoupment accounts through resolution • Research and resolve insurance overpayments and credits • Process patient refund requests and manage the refund register • Assist with monthly close functions and month-end balancing • Review remittance advices for accuracy and identify errors or questionable data • Meet organizational productivity requirements and external benchmarks • Engage operational personnel to resolve issues • Provide professional assistance for patient billing calls • Maintain current knowledge of payer guidelines and reimbursement policies • Document patient accounts in the billing system using proper grammar, spelling, and syntax • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement • Report to the Supervisor, Payment Posting and/or Director, Cash Management

🎯 Exigences

• High school graduate or GED • 1-3 years of Payment Posting in a Medical Setting • Experience with Accounting, EFT /ERA setup is a plus • Mod Med/EMA practice management system experience is a plus • Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits is crucial • Knowledge of third-party billing and collection requirements including Medicare, Medicaid and Managed care • General knowledge in posting recoupments and reversals • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets • Highly professional in appearance, tone and delivery and an effective communicator • Team-oriented with demonstrated skills in working in a team environment • Dedicated to follow-through and results • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
