• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts • Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across leadership, procurement, finance, operations, engineering, and technical teams • Serve as a primary customer point of contact and trusted advisor • Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits • Develop and execute account strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and market share • Expand services with existing customers and pursue new business opportunities • Grow and diversify the portfolio through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement • Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and manage prospects through the full sales cycle • Identify and pursue commercial and military customers through research, networking, industry events, and direct outreach • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity • Create and deliver proposals and business solutions tailored to customer needs • Negotiate agreements that create value for customers and World Fuel • Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, risk, credit, vendor management, and sales support teams • Coordinate resources to support customer initiatives and resolve challenges • Advocate for customers while aligning and informing internal teams • Manage customer agreements, pricing discussions, and contract processes • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the customer lifecycle • Maintain awareness of industry developments, supplier capabilities, and market opportunities
• Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer relationship management • Experience in aviation, fuel, energy, logistics, transportation, defense, or related industries • Demonstrated success building and growing customer relationships • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills • Ability to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and drive results • Ability to travel up to 50% across the United States and Canada, including customer visits and industry events • Experience working with commercial and government customers preferred • Strategic account management and contract negotiation experience preferred • Ability to navigate complex customer organizations and sales processes preferred
