📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and assure integrated plans across complex programmes • Support complex programmes and portfolios in managing plans and schedules at various levels • Collate, analyse, and challenge schedules to create a helicopter view for internal and external consumption • Quality assure schedules and maintain portfolio- and programme-level schedules to reflect delivery progress • Coach colleagues in planning and scheduling best practice • Provide planning and schedule insight for executive-level reporting • Measure progress against schedule and highlight delivery risks, dependencies, and milestones • Identify, capture, and track dependencies, milestones, critical paths, resource constraints, and risk impacts • Facilitate planning workshops with senior internal and external stakeholders • Support PMO maturity and continuous improvement through consistent planning and scheduling frameworks • Report to the Head of Portfolio Office as part of a team of Lead Planners

🎯 Requirements

• Security Clearance must be put in place and remain valid throughout the entire duration of the role • Expert-level experience of planning and scheduling within complex delivery environments • Expert-level proficiency in MS Project • Experience managing complex schedules for projects over £5m and cross-functional dependencies • Excellent stakeholder management skills • Experience defining planning and scheduling best practice • Knowledge of planning maturity, planning governance, and schedule quality standards • Experience with critical path analysis, dependency mapping, and milestone management • Ability to coach or support colleagues in applying consistent planning disciplines • Experience working in a portfolio, programme, or enterprise PMO environment • Flexibility to travel on an ad hoc basis
