📋 Description

• Support the maintenance of planning tools, methodologies, and processes to enable effective short-, medium- and long-term supply and demand management. • Maintain operational plans, incorporating demand and supply drivers, and provide structured analysis and commentary to inform operational decisions. • Undertake detailed variance and root cause analysis to improve forecast accuracy and enhance planning effectiveness. • Support accurate data collation and modelling of impact assessments. • Ensure planning activities are aligned to the Capita Operations Management Framework (OMF) and adhere to defined best practice standards. • Identify and escalate performance risks, providing data-led insight and supporting the development of mitigation actions. • Contribute to the optimisation of operational resource through the identification of efficiency opportunities, improved utilisation, and reduction of performance leakage.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in forecasting, workforce planning, or performance analysis within an operational environment. • Sound understanding of workforce planning principles, including demand forecasting, capacity modelling, and service level dynamics. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse, manipulate, and interpret large datasets. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience applying structured modelling and analysis techniques. • Experience working with SLAs, KPIs, and performance frameworks. • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, structured insight and actionable recommendations. • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines. • Adaptable and responsive to changing business priorities and operational requirements. • Experience working within a Workforce Management (WFM) environment or similar operational planning function (desirable). • Knowledge of planning frameworks such as the Capita Operations Management Framework (OMF) or equivalent structured models (desirable). • Experience using workforce planning, scheduling, or forecasting systems (e.g. WFM tools, BI platforms) (desirable). • Exposure to automation, data visualisation, or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or similar) (desirable). • Awareness of industry best practice in forecasting, capacity planning, and operational performance management (desirable).
