📋 Description

• Lead and grow a full-stack, Europe-based engineering team delivering Affirm’s direct-to-consumer products across international markets • Own the full software lifecycle from strategy to production for the Affirm App and other Direct-to-Consumer products • Set the technical roadmap and translate international growth objectives into executable engineering plans • Hire, develop, and retain engineers at all levels while creating career growth paths • Drive cross-functional alignment with product, design, data science, and business partners across time zones • Establish standards for system reliability, performance, and scalability for products serving millions of consumers • Foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, AI-assisted productivity, and rigorous impact measurement

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience • 4+ years leading and growing engineering teams in a product-focused environment • Demonstrated track record of shipping and scaling consumer-facing products, ideally direct-to-consumer or fintech • Experience building high-performing distributed teams • Strong experience developing engineers and creating clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across product, design, and business functions • Experience with international or multi-market product development • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • Clear and confident English communication, written and verbal
