📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions considering risks and trade-offs • Create and monitor metrics supporting the operations and availability of team artifacts • Escalate issues and support “keep the lights on” and on-call efforts • Engage in growth and development activities, including participation in the interview process • Build and operate Direct-to-Consumer products such as the Affirm App across international markets

🎯 Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue • Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin • Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into solutions involving multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code • Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging others’ code • Experience providing feedback through code reviews • Ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback-seeking • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team
