Animals Asia is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. For over 25 years it has rescued hundreds of bears and other animals, operated award-winning sanctuaries, and pursues change through rescue, veterinary care, education, advocacy and government partnership. The charity focuses on ending cruelty (notably bear bile farming and the dog meat trade), restoring animals' lives at sanctuaries, and campaigning for policy and public behaviour change across the region.

📋 Description

• Handle supporter enquiries by telephone and email, providing prompt, efficient and accurate responses • Keep up to date with organisational programmes and news for informed supporter communications • Handle difficult or distressed supporters sensitively and empathetically • Produce responses using letter templates and bespoke communications • Coach and coordinate external colleagues • Coordinate with Gift Processing colleagues to process donations efficiently • Liaise with external partners on gift processing and fulfilment • Manage supporter queries and fulfilment of mailed materials • Generate acknowledgements, receipts and annual statements for donors • Process online and offline donations across fundraising products • Administer the end-to-end recurring gift process • Ensure donations are timely and accurately coded • Assist with reviewing and implementing new payment channels • Maintain understanding of local payment channels and processes • Update procedure manuals and occasionally organise postal mailings • Capture missing or incomplete donation and supporter information • Maintain donor records and data integrity • Enter and amend fundraising database data accurately • Record supporter interactions consistently • Assist with fundraising materials and UK Gift Aid declarations • Train and supervise volunteers as required • Promote and advocate Animals Asia to the general public • Participate in team meetings and build positive supporter relationships • Report to the Global Head of Supporter Care

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with extensive experience communicating with a broad range of people • Demonstrable experience in a customer service role responding to a high level of enquiries via telephone and email • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner • Experience working on a customer relationship database • Experience with Blackbaud CRM is highly valuable but not essential • Ability to understand and streamline processes and procedures • Proven organisational and time management skills, including managing workflows and competing priorities • Understanding of working in a fundraising environment • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail • Ability to respond effectively to challenges and work in a small, diverse and busy cross-functional team with minimal supervision • Understanding of Data Protection (GDPR in UK & EU) • Able to work efficiently and effectively from home without disruption • Able to connect to a sustained, high quality internet connection from home • Able to work occasional extended hours and weekends as required • Able to accommodate global meetings in the early morning or late evening • Passionate about animals and animal welfare
