📋 Description

• Consider complaints of alleged misconduct against Ciarb members in accordance with Ciarb’s Disciplinary Rules • Review documents and other evidence • Establish relevant facts • Work with fellow Panel Members to categorise complaints • Prepare clear and evidence-based reports • Advise or assist Ciarb staff and/or the Board on matters requiring impartial expertise • Provide ad hoc input over approximately two to four weeks when assigned a complaint • Meet with fellow Panel Members to establish facts and categorise complaints

🎯 Requirements

• Hold professional membership of Ciarb • Must not be members of the Professional Conduct Committee, Disciplinary Tribunal or Appeals Tribunal • Experience in an investigative, disciplinary or committee-based role • Ability to interpret legal advice and apply Ciarb’s procedures appropriately • Experience participating in meetings and collective decision-making • Good level of IT proficiency • Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion • Commitment to Ciarb’s work, values and vision, and advancing alternative dispute resolution globally • Ability to analyse complex information and make informed, independent and robust decisions • Clear communication and constructive challenge of viewpoints • Ability to listen effectively, consider different perspectives and draw on others’ expertise • Ability to work collaboratively with fellow Panel Members and Ciarb’s executive team • Inclusive, consultative, collegiate and supportive approach • Ability to recognise and respond to the needs of Ciarb’s diverse professional and global communities • Commitment to the time and effort required to fulfil the role • CV and covering letter required
