📋 Description

• Build internal and external networks to develop opportunity generation experience • Develop finance automation technology skills and achieve certification in selected solutions • Identify root causes of client issues and translate them into client propositions • Collaborate across Consulting and Grant Thornton to bring appropriate capabilities to clients • Own quality, compliance, and risk matters on engagements • Support practice development, business development, marketing, and toolkit improvement initiatives • Manage engagement budgets and timelines • Support and lead workstreams across controllership and financial close transformation engagements • Analyse current-state close processes, bottlenecks, manual workarounds, control weaknesses, and automation opportunities • Design and implement close calendars, account reconciliation frameworks, task management workflows, and intercompany processes • Support close technology implementations across FloQast, OneStream, and Prophix • Conduct requirements gathering, configuration support, testing, and user adoption activities • Develop process documentation, policy frameworks, and training materials • Build day-to-day relationships with client finance teams and act as a trusted point of contact • Progress toward managing client relationships, workstreams, and people leadership responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience • Genuine interest in finance transformation and technology's role in improving controllership and close processes • Confidence engaging with senior finance stakeholders and ability to manage expectations • Background in Finance Consulting, External Audit, or industry finance roles, particularly financial close, reporting, or controls • Experience with month-end and year-end close, account reconciliation, financial controls and compliance, process improvement, or finance system implementation • Exposure to close automation or EPM technologies such as FloQast, OneStream, Prophix, BlackLine, or similar • Experience of Finance Change or Transformation Programmes • Ability to use framework- and methodology-driven approaches to identify root causes, propose solutions, and support delivery • Digital and analytical skills in a finance context • Past experience leading workstreams or small teams and desire to grow as a people leader
