📋 Description

• Take ownership of day-to-day operations across development teams, teams maintaining existing games and shared specialist support • Hold weekly check-ins with team leads to understand needs, address problems and follow issues through to resolution • Host brief company-wide morning check-ins and hand over to team leads for development discussions • Resolve operational blockers, including staffing gaps, missing access and unclear responsibilities • Consolidate team-lead priorities and provide directors with a clear view of matters requiring attention • Handle everyday issues within agreed responsibilities and escalate critical matters appropriately • Establish onboarding processes and prepare new team leads and developers to work • Set up new teams and manage the operational side of team changes or closures • Work with recruitment on hiring needs and staffing decisions • Handle sensitive team issues, departures and replacements • Manage sensitive company accounts and permissions, including Roblox projects, tools and company resources • Keep Discord, documentation and operational information organised • Maintain communication between game teams, shared specialists and the brand team • Identify loose ends and recurring problems and make practical operational improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience managing operations across multiple teams • Experience working directly with founders or directors and supporting team managers • Strong record of taking responsibility for operational problems and seeing them through to resolution • Experience implementing processes, managing onboarding and supporting organisational growth • Sound judgment when handling sensitive information, staff concerns and competing demands • Confidence dealing with staffing issues and difficult conversations • Clear communication and ability to summarise team priorities for directors • Ability to work independently within agreed responsibilities and recognise when escalation is needed • Approachable manner that helps people feel comfortable raising questions or concerns • Willingness to take personal ownership of practical details and wider operational responsibilities • Experience in a games studio or another creative or technology business would be valuable • Familiarity with Roblox and Discord would be an advantage • Must already be based in the UK and have the right to work there • No visa sponsorship provided
