• Achieve assigned targets for Lab Chemicals products in the assigned region • Provide sales support to Bioscience Account Managers, Distribution, and Global Strategic Account Teams through customer meetings, tradeshows, and workdays • Identify new opportunities at local Global Strategic Account locations and non-Global Strategic Accounts • Train distributor partners to place and sell Lab Chemicals products • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, Wako Japan, Wako Germany, and other Wako USA departments • Enter and maintain opportunities accurately in the CRM • Provide internal teams with customer feedback, market updates, and competitor information • Respond to customer inquiries, including technical questions • Issue price quotations • Negotiate and maintain sales agreements and contracts • Establish and execute sales strategies, action plans, and sales/expense plans • Follow up on sales and sample inquiries • Plan and execute sales promotions • Deliver technical sales presentations to current and potential customers • Plan business trips economically, including transportation and reservations • Attend meetings and prepare reports • Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer visits • Plan, prepare, and coordinate regional trade show exhibits and promotional literature • Define markets with the highest product sales opportunities and create sales opportunities • Evaluate statistical data concerning customer revenue profit and loss • Exercise independent judgment and make business decisions on behalf of the Lab Chemicals Department • Report and communicate with the Upper Manager
• BS degree or appropriate industry experience in a technical, scientific, or business discipline • Knowledge and continuing education in regulatory areas • 5-10 years of sales experience within the field • Sales management experience is desired • Consistent track record in achieving sales targets • Intermediate to high level of sales and marketing techniques in a technical environment • Knowledge of market dynamics of individual sales territories • Funnel management • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with limited standardization • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions • Basic arithmetic ability using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Highly motivated and goals oriented • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask and adjust quickly • Customer-focused with strong networking skills • Well organized • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong business acumen • Excellent negotiation skills • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • CRM experience • English fluency in speaking, reading, and communicating; multilingual preferred • Ability to travel • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
