📋 Description

• Own technical projects from problem framing through rollout, including gathering user feedback and measuring outcomes • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, and backend engineers to build intuitive user experiences • Build clean, reusable frontend components and contribute to supporting APIs and backend functionality • Mentor and collaborate with engineers through code reviews, design feedback, pairing, and technical writing • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and incident follow-ups • Provide technical support during customer escalations and identify areas of friction • Collaborate with other squads on shared dependencies and design proposals • Share the team’s work through demos and technical discussions • Contribute to open source communities

🎯 Requirements

• Strong frontend engineering experience across the stack • Experience building and maintaining production web applications with React and TypeScript • Comfortable contributing to backend services and APIs • Maintainability, readability, automated testing, and secure development practices • Experience delivering complex projects • Experience mentoring other engineers • Clear communication in a fully remote, asynchronous environment • Experience being on-call and supporting software in production • Experience ensuring reliability and responding to incidents • Ability to tackle complex engineering problems with minimal supervision • Practical experience using AI coding tools and validating their output • Interest in being an active Grafana Community Contributor • Open-source contribution or maintainership is a bonus • Interest in observability and experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or other observability platforms is a bonus • Experience with databases, SQL, or database performance monitoring is a bonus • Experience building backend services in Go is a bonus • Experience in a fully remote, globally distributed team is a bonus
