📋 Description

• Liaise directly with claimants using active listening and questioning skills to obtain additional evidence • Liaise with clinical peers across the NHS and private healthcare sector, charities, and support organisations • Obtain and evaluate evidence for detailed assessment reports • Triage cases to determine the assessment route • Conduct initial case reviews, file work and paper-based assessments • Apply critical thinking and logical reasoning to produce accurate, detailed reports • Maintain clinical registration while using clinical expertise in a Functional Assessor role

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience • Pharmacists require a minimum of 18 months' experience • Must have been practising as a clinician throughout the last year • NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) • HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics • GPHC-registered Pharmacists • Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills • Ability to type and confidence using computers • Comfortable learning different software packages • Willingness to complete formalised training to become a DWP approved Functional Assessor • Ability to write detailed, high-quality reports • Ability to work in an environment with targets
