📋 Description

• Design end-to-end architectures for enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and distributed backend systems • Define system-level architectures spanning services, APIs, integrations, and data stores • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency • Make and document architectural decisions, including trade-off analysis and technology selection • Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions across compute, networking, storage, and identity • Design data flows and integration patterns, including event-driven and streaming architectures • Define approaches to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational readiness • Guide modernization and migration of legacy systems • Provide architectural leadership to engineering teams delivering client projects • Establish best practices for system design, security, integration, observability, and reliability • Conduct architecture and design reviews and mentor engineers • Collaborate with backend, data, frontend, and DevOps teams • Partner with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures • Guide technical decisions and scoping during project planning and delivery • Stay current with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and software architecture advancements • Identify opportunities to improve scalability, resilience, and efficiency • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and architectural standards

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, or backend architecture • 5+ years in an architect or senior technical leadership capacity, owning system design end to end • Strong experience architecting large-scale, production-grade software systems • Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API design, and integration patterns • Strong programming experience in Python, Java, C#, C++, or similar languages • Experience designing systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and relational and non-relational data stores • Working knowledge of security, performance, observability, and cost as first-class architectural concerns • Excellent system design, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills • Strong written and spoken English communication skills • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Experience working in client-facing consulting or professional services environments designing enterprise-scale systems • Experience supporting pre-sales work: solution shaping, technical proposals, and delivery estimation • Experience modernizing or replatforming legacy systems in large enterprises • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi) and platform engineering practices • Experience designing systems under regulatory or compliance constraints (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS) • Experience with high-throughput or low-latency systems, or systems-level and native engineering • Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent)
