📋 Description

• Maintain and grow the platform used daily by clinicians • Deliver features end to end from Postgres and API services through UI optimisation and user experiences • Build new clinical document types, including prompt evaluation, editor views and safe feature-flagged releases • Improve document-generation speed and cost by tracing requests, finding bottlenecks and tuning models, prompts and retry policies • Build integrations with practice-management systems such as Best Practice and EMIS, and healthcare standards including FHIR and HL7 • Investigate production incidents using Sentry, CloudWatch and Langfuse and fix root causes • Break down feature work into clear, shippable steps • Review teammates’ code and help maintain high engineering standards • Work closely with the Product Engineer and engineering leadership to turn the roadmap into shippable work

🎯 Requirements

• Strong, production-level TypeScript and modern front-end framework experience, ideally Svelte and SvelteKit • Strong Python skills, including data structures, async programming, and building APIs with FastAPI and Pydantic • Hands-on experience integrating large language models into products, including prompt engineering, structured output, streaming, and managing latency and cost • Solid Postgres and SQL skills, including schema design, indexing and query performance • Experience shipping and operating software on AWS • Experience with Docker • Good observability and testing practices • Breadth and confidence to work across the full stack • Experience with healthcare integrations such as FHIR, HL7, EMIS or Best Practice is nice to have • Familiarity with Supabase or Temporal is nice to have • Experience protecting personal data in text using Presidio, llm-guard or spaCy is nice to have • Experience with ProseMirror, TinyMCE, browser audio capture or real-time streaming is nice to have • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and front-end performance optimisation is nice to have • Right to work in the UK on an ongoing basis without requiring visa sponsorship
