📋 Description

• Take accountability for delivery across squad(s), collaborating with the Technical Lead and Product Manager • Foster engineering excellence within teams • Own technical outcomes, engineer performance, and engineer growth • Lead and develop an initial group of approximately 7–10 engineers through regular 1:1s and continuous feedback • Partner with senior engineers on technical initiatives that improve engineering practices • Communicate with stakeholders from other teams and create focus space for engineers • Contribute to company-wide managerial and technical practices and standards • Work across Platform, Core App, and Expansion engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced manager with a strong technical and delivery background • Has worked as a software engineer in previous roles • Experience leading engineering teams • People leadership, product delivery, and technical leadership experience • Delivery experience and ability to guide squads toward outcomes • Ability to operate with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy • Ability to understand and challenge engineering decisions while empowering teams to decide • Understanding of high-performing engineering teams and how to develop them • Ability to coach people to achieve their goals • Experience in an experimentation-led environment is a bonus • Willingness to wait 6 months before reapplying if recently unsuccessful for a similar Monzo role
