📋 Description

• Own the Snowflake warehouse and dbt project across raw, transformation and warehouse layers • Maintain data models, tests, versioned model contracts and semantic definitions supporting reporting • Own ingestion from around 25 sources through dlt and Dagster, including assets, schedules, sensors and freshness checks • Run AWS infrastructure defined in CDK, including Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Athena and Iceberg • Lead observability in Datadog through dashboards, monitors, Snowflake usage and cost visibility, and alerting • Diagnose and resolve pipeline and data-platform failures and prevent recurrence • Use AI tools throughout the work and help shape an AI-first data team • Collaborate with and report to the Head of Data & Analytics Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Strong SQL and hands-on production experience with a cloud warehouse; Snowflake ideally, or BigQuery or Redshift • Solid dbt experience, including incremental models, tests and macros • Hands-on Segment experience and web tracking instrumentation • Experience owning clickstream event schemas, identifiers and campaign parameters • Confident Python for ingestion, orchestration and service code • Experience with a modern orchestrator such as Dagster, Airflow or Prefect, including retries, backfills and freshness • Infrastructure-as-code and cloud fundamentals; AWS with CDK or Terraform ideal • Ability to deploy and debug own infrastructure • Deep comfort working natively with AI tools; MCP experience is especially interesting • Ability to work independently in a remote team • Organised, self-motivated and capable of managing priorities • Strong multitasking and project-management skills • dlt or marketing and CRM API ingestion experience is a bonus • BI tooling experience, especially Hex, is a bonus • TypeScript is a bonus • E-commerce, travel, marketplace or subscription-business experience is a bonus
