📋 Description

• Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based prescribing for ADHD patients in accordance with national guidance and internal protocols • Manage a larger clinical caseload while maintaining quality, safety, and patient experience • Complete End of Titration Reviews and annual medication reviews • Assess, initiate, adjust, and monitor ADHD medications using independent or supplementary prescribing qualifications • Communicate with patients through Psychiatry UK's secure patient portal • Undertake risk assessments, identify safeguarding concerns, and escalate appropriately • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions with Consultant Psychiatrists, prescribers, and operational colleagues • Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records using electronic patient record systems • Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities • Keep up to date with ADHD clinical guidance, prescribing legislation, and professional standards • Identify opportunities to improve prescribing pathways, patient experience, and service efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• First-level registered Mental Health nurse (RMN) or first-level registered nurse (Adult Nurse/Children’s Nurse/Learning Disabilities Nurse) • Independent & Supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification • 1 year post-prescribing qualification experience • Minimum 4 years of clinical experience in ADHD prescribing roles (private or NHS), including titration, medication reviews, and long-term management of ADHD treatment • Advanced prescribing skills and exceptional clinical judgement in ADHD medication management • Substantial experience managing complex patient presentations across the ADHD pathway • Strong understanding of medication titration, side effect management, treatment optimisation, and long-term prescribing • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Confidence making autonomous clinical decisions • Experience contributing to multidisciplinary discussions • Accurate clinical documentation skills • Knowledge of safeguarding principles • Confidence using electronic patient record systems and digital communication platforms • Computer literacy • Applicants must reside in the UK • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently by written word and over the phone
