📋 Description

• Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based ADHD prescribing in accordance with national guidance and internal protocols • Manage a larger clinical caseload while maintaining quality, safety, and patient experience • Complete End of Titration Reviews and annual medication reviews • Assess, initiate, adjust, and monitor ADHD medications • Communicate with patients through the secure patient portal • Undertake risk assessments, identify safeguarding concerns, and escalate appropriately • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions with Consultant Psychiatrists, prescribers, and operational colleagues • Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records • Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities • Maintain current knowledge of ADHD guidance, prescribing legislation, and professional standards • Identify improvements to prescribing pathways, patient experience, and service efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• Registered first-level Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or first-level Adult, Children’s, or Learning Disabilities Nurse • One year post-qualification secondary mental health service experience or further training desirable for non-Mental Health Nurse routes • Independent & Supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification required • One year of post-prescribing qualification experience • Minimum 4 years of clinical experience in ADHD prescribing roles, private or NHS • Experience with ADHD medication titration, medication reviews, and long-term ADHD treatment management • Advanced prescribing skills and exceptional clinical judgement • Experience managing complex patient presentations across the ADHD pathway • Strong understanding of side-effect management and treatment optimisation • Ability to make autonomous clinical decisions • Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary discussions • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation • Knowledge of safeguarding principles • Confidence using electronic patient record systems and digital communication platforms • Computer literacy and effective written and telephone communication • Applicants must reside in the UK
