• Join Severn Trent Water’s Field Team as a Metering Technician • Gather meter readings • Investigate customers’ billing queries • Speak confidently with customers and guide them when technical issues arise • Review and discuss work carried out by contract partners • Challenge the quality and effectiveness of contract-partner work where required • Manage jobs through to completion • Share learnings with the team • Handle customer escalations and complaints • Work out on site in communities and in all weather conditions • Work set shifts: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00–16:00; Tuesday and Thursday 8:00–15:45
• Full UK Driving License is required • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills • Ability to think objectively to plan, prioritise and resolve work effectively • Ability to work in a demanding target-driven environment as part of a remote-based team • Confidence to review and discuss work carried out by contract partners and challenge quality and effectiveness where required • Ability to manage jobs through to completion • Ability to share learnings with the team • Ability to deal with customer escalations and complaints • Proactive attitude and willingness to work out on site most of the time • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Ability to adapt quickly to difficult situations • Customer-facing experience is a plus
