📋 Description

• Bridge business needs and engineering delivery by turning ideas, requests and requirements into clear, actionable work • Work with stakeholders to explore ideas, feedback and business needs before defining work • Challenge assumptions, identify gaps and surface conflicting needs or unanswered questions • Identify and engage stakeholders to obtain information and decisions • Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria • Break initiatives into clear, deliverable increments with Product and Engineering colleagues • Maintain accurate, current requirements and supporting context in Jira • Remain involved during delivery to answer requirements-related questions and clarify ambiguity • Participate in refinement and planning discussions • Maintain traceability from the original business need through requirements and changes to delivery • Identify dependencies, overlaps and potential impacts across Product and Platform Engineering • Help shape integrated product and platform requirements and support cross-team handovers • Build working relationships across Product, Engineering, QA, customer-facing teams and the wider business • Translate engineering constraints for business stakeholders and business needs for engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, or in a closely related analysis role, within software delivery • Strong requirements elicitation and analysis skills, including working from incomplete or ambiguous information, identifying gaps and challenging assumptions constructively • Ability to translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels • Experience working with Jira and Agile software delivery teams • Experience working across multiple teams with shared dependencies, changes or overlapping requirements • Good level of technical understanding for conversations with engineers about scope, constraints, dependencies and trade-offs • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with good attention to detail • Desirable: experience in a SaaS or platform engineering environment • Desirable: familiarity with APIs, integrations and platform capabilities • Desirable: process mapping or user journey mapping • Desirable: exposure to software release processes and change management • Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK • Documentary evidence of right to work required • Ability to pass satisfactory vetting and reference checks
