• Plan, manage, and monitor all service operations within the region • Ensure profitable performance of the UK business in accordance with corporate strategy, goals, and objectives • Optimise asset performance and ensure branches achieve customer service and operational delivery goals • Coach logistics teams to optimise performance and support individual development • Maintain and enforce company policies, standards, practices, and corporate values • Manage and support all sites, ensuring safe, productive, and efficient operations • Manage service operations in line with health and safety, maintenance, standard operating procedure, working time directive, and ‘O’ Licence requirements • Conduct regular health and safety audits • Provide leadership and direction for smooth regional operations • Maintain communication with managers and staff and visit sites regularly • Work with Service Managers to identify performance improvement opportunities • Monitor branch performance reporting and address underachievement • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and improve service delivery standards • Manage regional expenditure, business planning, budgets, and future capital expenditure requirements • Support cost control, accounts receivable functions, revenue, and profit objectives • Set objectives, responsibilities, and accountabilities; manage team performance • Foster a positive, high-performing culture and identify and develop talent • Create structured development plans to upskill team members • Support operational strategies and regional change initiatives aligned with business transformation • Build strong customer relationships and a performance culture within the regional team
• Associate's or equivalent required • CPC required • Bachelor's or equivalent preferred • Business or Logistics Degree preferred • Experience managing a large logistics operation/distribution centres would be highly beneficial • Demonstrable track record in managing a logistics operation and extensive knowledge in the specialized field • 5 years’ experience managing teams of different expertise (25-50 employees) • Experience working within a Regional role • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and delivering customer service solutions in line with contractual obligations • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce and transportation concepts such as forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, and delivery performance • Financial and commercial acumen, with proven experience managing a P&L • Strong technical knowledge/background • Strong health and safety leadership • Excellent planning and organisation skills • Ability to review and analyse complex financial/business reports/data and generate innovative solutions/corrective action plans • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to confidently deal with multiple projects and changing priorities • Experience managing capital projects • Strong Microsoft Office skills, data entry ability, and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools • Excellent presentation skills • Strong coaching and leadership skills, with exceptional attention to detail • Strong negotiating skills • Drivers Licence
