📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical resource for the Account Executive team • Share product and technical expertise through presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations (Proof of Values) • Understand client requirements and pain points and design appropriate solutions • Guide clients through sales-cycle trials and Proof of Values • Build positive customer relationships and provide continuous value • Partner with Account Executives to understand customer challenges and articulate Sumo Logic’s value proposition, vision, and strategy • Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility • Orchestrate all phases of the sales cycle and lead technical validations during the Proof of Value phase • Work with executives, developers, and Site Reliability Engineers • Deliver product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve the service based on customer experience

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; M.S. preferred • 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer with customer/project experience • Hands-on knowledge of security products and technologies, including IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network/Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, and CASB • Experience with open source collections such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, and OpenTelemetry preferred • Experience leading technical validations such as Proof of Value preferred • Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures • Experience with AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure; certification preferred • Broad technical infrastructure background, including servers, networking devices, and storage • Understanding of modern application architecture, including microservices and containers; experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda preferred • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, and New Relic preferred • Experience in a successful startup preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills, business acumen, and technical acumen
