📋 Description

• Identify initiatives for continuous improvement around vehicle repair spend • Work with depots and repair agents to control repair and maintenance budgets • Support vehicle design specification and new build delivery plans • Influence and coach depot colleagues to improve fleet efficiency, standards and compliance • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Operating team, Central Engineering, Indirect Goods & Services and suppliers • Manage costs and VOR • Act as subject matter expert in fleet maintenance and maintenance cost control • Operate at senior level within the Supply Chain leadership team • Liaise with insurance companies, enforcing bodies, trade bodies and major suppliers • Manage costs across fleet mix, use, repair and maintenance • Establish governance measures relating to enforcing authorities, including Police, DVSA and Traffic Commissioner • Ensure vehicle maintenance regimes satisfy legal obligations and manufacturer requirements • Support Operations teams with cost management systems and processes • Link Fleet Strategy to the business and ensure high-quality service to stakeholders and customers • Support new build programmes, including fleet mix and implementation • Identify cost and efficiency improvements for new and existing fleets • Support the National Fleet Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive background within Fleet Management and Operations in a high volume, fast paced environment • Ideally hold a Certificate of Competence in Road Transport Operations • Ideally hold a Mechanical Engineering qualification • Ideally have a NEBOSH/Health & Safety qualification • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Word and Excel • Strong Microsoft skills • Membership of an appropriate professional body is highly advantageous, such as the Society of Operation Engineers or Institute of Road Transport Engineers • Must hold a Full Cat B licence • Ideally have previous management/supervisory experience
