📋 Description

• Lead and strengthen day-to-day financial controls and management reporting • Identify manual finance tasks and collaborate with engineering teams to automate them • Reconcile payments from Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, direct reservations and other distribution partners • Reconcile bank accounts and incoming transactions and resolve discrepancies • Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable • Review supplier invoices and company expenses • Oversee statutory filings and corporate compliance across several jurisdictions • Coordinate with accountants, tax advisers, auditors and banking partners • Assist with financial statements for landlords and property owners • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time performance visibility • Evaluate financial results across properties, cities, countries and business units • Create and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models • Track cash flow and support funding and capital planning • Detect financial risks, discrepancies and revenue leakage • Review costs and identify opportunities to improve margins • Partner with operational teams to control and reduce property-level costs • Contribute to financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments and new-market expansion • Communicate findings, recommendations and actionable insights to founders and management • Build understanding of financial performance and establish dependable monthly reporting • Automate manual finance processes and take responsibility for increasingly important finance areas

🎯 Requirements

• Highly analytical and confident working with numbers • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial principles • Ability to work with significant volumes of financial and operational data • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets • Strong financial reconciliation, controls and problem-solving capabilities • Commercial mindset and ability to understand business implications of financial results • Strong ownership, responsibility and accountability • Ability to work independently and navigate unfamiliar challenges • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Confidence communicating directly with senior management • Genuine interest in technology, automation and AI • Ambition to grow quickly and assume greater responsibility • Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate or a high-growth startup would be highly valuable • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics or another analytical discipline preferred, not required
