📋 Description

• Drive strategic and measurable business outcomes for the Metabolic therapeutic area • Provide high-quality input into significant requests for proposals, including development strategy, regulatory issues, drug class issues, protocol and indication considerations, safety, and team education • Interact with client physicians and indication leaders before and during bid defences • Identify business opportunities for the PPD clinical research business • Engage proactively with therapeutic area leaders and senior directors of pharmaceutical companies • Support strategic alliances, client governance, and advisory boards • Provide product development plans and top-level clinical trial protocol designs through PPD’s consulting practice • Provide therapeutic and developmental expertise to internal teams • Deliver indication-specific training for clinical teams • Guide clinical trial execution • Author and review Investigator Brochures, clinical study reports, NDA/MAA clinical packages, and regulatory briefing documents • Contribute to feasibility study design and reporting • Liaise with investigators and key opinion leaders • Mentor and supervise clinical scientists • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and working groups to support innovative initiatives • Support the growth and expansion of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD clinical research business in Metabolic

🎯 Requirements

• MD or equivalent required • Certified in a medical specialty or subspecialty related to metabolic disorders, such as Endocrinology, Cardiology, or Internal Medicine • At least 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry leading clinical development of at least one asset from discovery through registration • Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin • Active medical license preferred but not required • Able to work in a matrix organization • Able to demonstrate decisive, customer-driven, flexible-thinking, smart-risk-taking, and continuous-improvement behaviors • Able to lead, influence, and motivate staff within and across departments • Strong presentation and communication skills for explaining complex information clearly • Able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues • Possesses a “can do” attitude and can implement and follow through on activities and projects • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally • Role can be based in the EMEA region and requires travel to China, or relocation could be considered
