📋 Description

• Lead software quality assurance for end-to-end Positive Train Control solutions • Manage the development cycle process and product quality • Provide leadership for process improvements, governance, measurement-system enhancements and tracking, and audit supervision • Drive continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency • Support engineering teams in developing, optimizing, and implementing processes while ensuring compliance with Digital Intelligence and Wabtec policies • Lead operating rhythm to improve software First Pass Yield and defect escape rate • Act as gatekeeper for software releases, ensuring processes are followed and design rigor is applied • Develop and maintain metrics and measurement systems for continuous improvement • Perform detailed failure analysis for non-conformances and develop effective, compliant solutions to prevent recurrence and quality escapes • Audit adherence to documented standards, processes, and procedures • Perform other duties outside the primary function or trade when adequately trained

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject • At least 4 years of experience in software development, implementation and/or quality • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes • Strong understanding of Process Assurance activities, including Process Audits and Corrective and Preventative Actions • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with technical and nontechnical audiences • Ability to lead by influence while working in a matrix environment • MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject (desired) • 7 years of experience in software design, systems, or test (desired) • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques such as Five Whys, Fish Bone Diagrams, and Fault Tree Analysis • Familiarity with ISO requirements and lead auditor certification • Familiarity with Safety Critical Software Development or CENELEC Standard compliance • Familiarity with CMMI requirements
