📋 Description

• Collaborate with mobile, frontend, and backend engineering teams on threat modeling and security reviews • Design secure libraries that enhance Yelp’s applications and services • Develop and deploy login and account security services for Yelp’s website and mobile apps • Support security incident response and team operational activities • Triage bug bounty submissions and vulnerability reports from internal security tools • Build automated solutions to detect and prevent application security threats • Evangelize security best practices and policies throughout the software development life cycle • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive team culture

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of software engineering experience in application security • Strong understanding of web application security, mobile security, APIs, and cloud security • Familiarity with common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10 • Command of a modern programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/React, Swift, and/or Objective-C • Software generalist with an interest in application security • Security research and penetration testing experience are assets • Comfort reading and navigating unfamiliar codebases • Must be located in the United Kingdom • Basic criminal background check via AccessNI required for Northern Ireland applicants
