LinkedIn · Lesson 7 of 9
About 60 to 70% of roles are never publicly advertised. If you only apply to posted jobs, you’re competing in roughly 20 to 30% of the market.
Visibility on LinkedIn is a primary way into the hidden market, you have to sell yourself consistently.
Post consistently:
Mix formats: original posts, comments, and thoughtful reposts (especially of companies you want to work at).
You don’t need thousands of followers, you need the right ones who see your posts and comments.
Pick a focused theme (e.g. how your industry is changing) and stick to it for weeks so people learn what you stand for.
Consistent topical posting often leads to inbound outreach, including unadvertised roles.
