Summary
Leave these off:
- Photo: judge experience/achievements, not appearance
- Street address: irrelevant and can trigger “lives too far” bias
- Marital status, date of birth / age, nationality: rights to work are what matter
- Every job in a 20 to 30 year career: keep roughly the last 10 to 15 years / most relevant roles
- “References available on request”: they’ll ask if they need them
A slimmer resume leaves room for skills, experience, and achievements that actually win interviews.
